The navigation room
Explorer’s sitting accommodation provides 1.09m (3ft 7in) headroom for two adults seated diagonally opposite each other. Crew stowage is provided in two under-berth lockers in the foreground, and two more lockers reaching under the cockpit seats in the background.
The cabin
Looking through the hatch into the cabin. You can see the ‘berth infills’ stowed behind the mast-support arch to port and starboard, secured by white bungee chords.
Twin berth
Hey presto! The berth infills form a 2m × 1.4m (6ft 6in × 4ft 6in) twin berth. Normally slept-in feet forward! The circular white watertight inspection hatch at the bow accesses the most forward of Explorer’s four buoyancy tanks.
